No One Wants To Be Stuck Inside Their Body: 4 Important Benefits of a Regular Stretching Routine
“No one wants to be stuck inside their body.”
This was one of the first things that the instructor of my recent workshop in Los Angeles said to us.
This statement was so profound, it stopped me in my tracks! I couldn’t breathe for a few seconds; it was a huge “Pause” moment for me.
I have always believed this, but I had never heard it said that way. I knew immediately that I had come to the right place to find the continued stretching education I have been searching for.
I learned so much valuable information about the powerful effects of stretching, including:
“Where it is… it ain’t.”
The point of pain or discomfort in a muscle is usually not found in the source of pain. The issue comes from the tight muscle tissue in another part of the body. It’s all connected.
In other words, if one part of your body is hurting, the muscle that’s actually causing that pain may be in another area of your body.
For instance, I had a client once who was experiencing severe pain in her foot. I advised her to start rolling her quads daily. Within a few weeks, the pain in her foot had disappeared!
Shoes are coffins for our feet.
Shoes restrict movement in the muscles of our feet. This restricts blood flow and circulation—vital functions for healthy muscle tissue.
Over time, “rigor mortis” sets into those restricted muscles, meaning the muscle tissue begins to decay and die. Yikes!
Ladies, listen up: high heels cause hammer toe, knee and hip issues, and more. If there is something wonky with your body, it probably started in your feet.
The calf is the “second heart” in our body.
The calf is THE most important muscle to stretch.
It pumps blood back up into the heart and pushes fluid back up into the body so it doesn’t pool in our ankles and cause edema.
Stretching the calf also gets rid of metabolic waste and lactic acid, while improving ankle function which improves balance and gait.

Nutrients in and toxins out: that’s the goal.
Stretching increases blood flow and circulation, which carries nutrients to cells and allows toxins to get out. But tight muscle tissue makes it difficult for nutrients to get in and toxins to get out.
Stretching really can do wonders for our bodies!
A regular stretching routine is a must.
Research suggests that to really benefit from stretching, you need to stretch each muscle group for 5 minutes at least 5 days a week!
I realize that’s a tall order if you’ve never stretched before!
That’s why I created my Daily Pause Online Workshop to teach you quick and easy stretches for all major muscle groups that you can do from home.
It is my mission to share the healing power of stretching with ANYONE and EVERYONE.
Attending this workshop in L.A. was the encouragement I needed to keep going.
“We are here because we want to help people,” said my instructor in his opening statements.
That’s exactly what I believe and why I am so passionate about sharing Assisted Stretching with you.
After the first day of the workshop, I got in my car and immediately called my husband to tell him about this incredible experience. As I described it to him, tears began to stream down my face… what was this about?
I believe they were tears of joy and excitement and relief that I am not crazy… I had found further confirmation that Assisted Stretching really DOES change people’s lives.
