24 of My Favorite Health and Personal Products
My studio is not just about stretching…
We do way more than stretch here! This is where we come to heal and grow. We share life experiences, body issues, our favorite new restaurants and recipes, travel spots, podcasts, fashion, and much more.
Most importantly, we share a lot of laughs.
I am always on the lookout for new things to share with my students that will benefit their lives!
Here are some of them:
1. Protein Powder
I use this as my coffee creamer in the morning. It is packed with 20g of collagen and 18g of protein in each serving. Great way to start your day.
2. Calm Magnesium Powder
This has been a game changer for me. I put a scoop in my water everyday.
There are so many benefits to magnesium!
3. Good Day Melatonin
This is my “go to” on a restless night. It is a yummy little chocolate ball. It helps me ease into sleep. Works great for traveling on long flights as well.
4. Levoit Room Air purifier
My son turned me on to this and I absolutely love it. He told me I needed one for my studio since I had renovated and put in new flooring. He said that it would take all the dust particles from the air and purify it.
Well it did! The TV in my studio used to attract dust and now, it’s not there. It’s amazing. I now have them in every room in my house. Great if you have pets to get rid of pet dander and pollen. Get one!
5. Large Britta Water purifier
It’s so easy. You just fill it up with water and place in the fridge. Easy to use dispenser to fill your water jugs and glasses with fresh filtered water.
6. Dr. Teals Epson Salts
I recommend this to all my students all the time. Just a 20 minute warm bath a week reduces inflammation in the body, relieves stress and improves sleep.
7. Studio Hand Wash
This hand soap is a favorite of visitors to the studio. It has a gritty texture and wonderful clean smell. It exfoliates and leaves your hands feeling really soft and clean.
8. Lumify Eye drops
I suffer from dry eyes and so they can dry out and become red. This is my “go to” reliever.
9. Elta MD tinted sunscreen
I am not a “makeup person.” This was recommended to me by my aesthetician friend. It is a dermatologist grade sunscreen/with a light tint. It is my go to instead of heavy makeup. I love it.
10. Nail repair oil
In my attempt to not wear nail polish, this is a great option. My nails and cuticles soak it up. I put it on my fingernails and toenails everyday.
11. Kapari Coconut cream
I started using this on my elbows and knees only. Then when I realized how many chemicals were in my regular body lotion, I started using this instead. Makes your skin feel like velvet.
12. Neutrogena sesame shower oil
This is my favorite shower oil. While my skin is still wet, I put it on before I towel dry. You will love it.
13. Antica room defuser
This is in my studio and people always comment on how pleasant it smells. I used to burn candles until I realized that they have a carcinogenic component. Now, I use this instead.
14. CoCo tooth floss
Our scientist son told us that the dental floss we have used forever had heavy metal components in it and suggested this instead. My husband and I are now obsessed with this.
15. EWA mini speaker
This is my little speaker I use in the studio. It is powerful and portable. We have many throughout the house and we travel with one. I also take it out in the garden with me. It’s amazing.
16. Civago glass water bottle
In my quest to reduce exposure to plastics, this water bottle has become my best friend. It goes everywhere with me. It’s easy to fill, easy to carry and it calculates how much water you have had each day.
17. Grip socks
These grip socks are lightweight and easy to wear with shoes.
18. Crocs studio sandals
Easy to slide on and slide off. They are super comfortable and lightweight. I have them in every color!
19. Xero Shoes
These shoes are a game changer. I wear these when I teach my classes at the Y instead of traditional “trainers.” They allow your feet and toes to move and strengthen muscles in the feet. Get some!
20. Whiten Shoes
The best walking shoe ever. Actually, I wear them out at night also. (My high heel days are over.) Wide toe pad that allows your toes to move and not be constricted.
21. Lavender Eye Pillows
I have these in my studio and they are one of my students favorite things. You warm them in the microwave and place onto your eyes, neck, knees, shoulders, etc… So relaxing and healing.
I am not a true “book reader.” I am more of a research/study reader. These books are 3 of my very favorite resources… and easy to read, too!
22. A Short Guide to a Long Life
Great resource for life's little issues. Easy to read. I love Dr. Abus.
23. Dressed To Kill
Profound and shocking information that we all need to know. When I started reading it, I couldn’t put it down.
24. I Quit Sugar
You just have to read her story. It made a huge impact on me and my food choices. Life changing.
